Amazon head Roy Price resigns amid sexual harassment allegation

Roy Price has resigned as the head of Amazon Studios after an allegation that he sexually harassed a television producer working on one his shows.

An Amazon executive confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that Price resigned Wednesday.

Price was suspended following The Hollywood Reporter's publication of an article detailing harassment allegations against him, made by Isa Hackett, a producer of the Amazon series "The Man in the High Castle".

Amazon Studios Chief Operating Officer Albert Cheng, a former Walt Disney Co. executive, will oversee the studio while Amazon searches for Price's replacement, according to a statement.

The allegation against Price come on the heels of damning accusations of sexual harassment, sexual assault and rape against Harvey Weinstein brought forth by more than two dozen women, including Lena Headey, Gwyneth Paltrow and Rose McGowan.

Hackett claimed Price did not stop once they arrived at the party and even approached her and loudly said "Anal sex!" in her ear.

The news comes after Price was placed on a "on leave of absence effective immediately". Over & over I said it.
