Pakistan firing kills BSF trooper in J&K

Constable Brijendra Bahadur Singh - died after being injured in firing during ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Arnia worldwide border area of RS Pura sector. "One BSF trooper has been killed in ceasefire violation by Pakistan rangers".

"Retaliatory fire by BSF killed 2 Pak soldiers", it further said. BSF Constable Brijendra Bahadur Singh was executed in terminating by Pakistan in Arnia range of Jammu and Kashmir's RS Pura segment. One civilian has also been injured.

Parekh called the incident a violation of the 2003 ceasefire truce with Pakistan.

"Heavy firing exchanges are going on as BSF troopers retaliated unprovoked, indiscriminate firing by Pakistan", the police officer said at around 11.15 a.m. He sustained multiple bullet injuries in the incident and died while being rushed to a hospital. He is survived by his wife Sushmita Singh.

Panic has gripped scores of border residents living in villages close to the worldwide border of R.S. Pura in Jammu.

On the other hand, Pakistan has claimed that there have more than 700 ceasefire violations by the Indian troops this year, which resulted in the killing of 32 civilians on their side of the LoC. "We hope that this doesn't escalate further", they said.

There have been continuous ceasefire violations by the Pakistani troops for the past three days.
